ARMPITS
So the other day I paid a visit to a new medical facility (new
to me anyway). The intake nurse went through all the typical stuff (vitals, medical history, allergies, etc.) and then
asked me if there was anything I would like to add.
I
replied, “Yes, two things. Firstly, my armpits are reversed...and secondly, I tend to overuse parentheses (more
so in my written correspondence than in my oral correspondence). I informed her that I was not familiar with the medical
term for either of those conditions but felt it important they be included in my medical charts.”
In addition, I wanted her to make note under “allergies”
that in addition to the ones listed I have an allergic reaction for which there is not normally a checkbox on most updated
computer recordkeeping systems, that of being allergic to rude postal clerks.
At this point in the conversation, she simply stopped typing into the computer and sat there
is a somewhat frozen (or even somnambulistic) state. I wasn't sure if she had used up all of my allotted number of vowels
and consonants or what but she just sat there unblinking for a moment or two).
I asked her if she was having an attack of some sort and whether I should call for help.
She replied, “no, you just kind of caught me off
guard” (I do that a lot).
To which I
responded, “well at least you didn't roll your eyes up in your head” (I get that look A LOT).
She said, “give me a minute. I am sure I will get
to that.”
So then she continued, “ok,
let's look at this for a minute. With regards to your armpits being reversed, tell me when you first became aware
of this condition.”
So I told her that
as a kid I always knew that I was different from other children. But then again, I always just figured that all kids
were different from other kids. I just surmised that when I was assembled, someone just got a bit confused. (Insert
“tab A into “slot A” got mixed up with “insert tab B into slot B”, etc.) Afterall, armpits
are easy to mix up. But when I was about 6 ¾ or 6 7/8 years old - I don't recall the exact day (I just
know it was snowing outside – I guess that's better than it be snowing INSIDE), one day I was putting on my socks
and I realized that my left sock didn't match up with my left armpit (as socks are intended to do), so I switched them
around. I put my right sock on my left foot and my left sock on my right foot. Suddenly I was overwhelmed
with a sense of serenity and peace that permeated my entire being. I suddenly felt as though a multi-lifetime dilemma
had finally found resolution (when something like this happens before the age of 7 – you tend to remember it well).
It was a sense of euphoria that one has to experience to understand completely. (I am certain that those who work in
sock factories experience this on a regular basis but just become so accustomed to it that they do not notice it after awhile).
I informed the nurse that I had done exhaustive research
on both Wikipedia, Snopes and UrbanLegends but was unable to find an accurate medical term to describe my condition.
However, over the years I have just come to accept the reversal of my armpits as a unique feature and something that makes
me stand out in the crowd. Through much meditation, self-hypnosis and introspection I have learned to deal with the
condition on my own. I have been unable to locate any successful 12-step programs which offer assistance for my particular
condition. (I am sure there are many who suffer needlessly from this affliction and I would be happy to offer guidance
and counsel to help others deal successfully with it). I am currently in the process of scripting a series of guided
meditations designed to help others with “RAS” (Reversed Armpit Syndrome). So far I have been unable to
locate any other counselors or hypnotherapists who currently have such guided meditations available.
As to my second concern (the overuse of parentheses), I informed her
that I was unable to locate a proper medical terminology to describe this particular condition as well (although I did feel
that it must be hereditary – in other words, something “parent-etical” afterall, they ARE called “parentheses”).
I mean in rare cases some people are born with extra chromosomes, extra organs, extra ribs, extra fingers or toes, extra sets
of teeth, extra eyes, extra ears, etc.. (I just happen to be born with an extra supply of parentheses).
And then there it was. I SAW IT as plain as if she were
sitting right next to me (which she was). Her eyes rolled up in her head. And then there was the oft-accompanying
obligatory long-winded exhale (which could only be interpreted as a lengthy “SIGHHHHHH”).
With that she got up from her seat at the computer, shook her head
and said, “the doctor will be in to see you shortly.” Maybe it was simply my imagination or did I actually
hear her mutter under her breath, “and may God have Mercy on his soul”?
I was a bit miffed that we didn't have an opportunity to discuss my allergic
reaction to rude postal clerks. Well, there's always next week.
(As my friend Paul Harvey would often say, “and now you know.....the rest of the story”).

By the way, I do also feel I was born with an extra supply of commas, as I often find myself overusing them (again, more so
in my written correspondence than in my spoken correspondence). Anyone else, have this, same (or similar) affliction?
Perhaps we could start (our own personal) 12-step program to address (on a larger, more directive, scale) this condition?
I do not consider this condition to be problematic (unless of course, someday, someone happens to find me obsessing over it
and I become commatose)....
I do realize, through
my own therapeutic efforts (self-hypnosis and meditation), I can slowly treat my overuse of commas, using a regressive step-down
method, the first step, as everyone knows, involves using semi-commas. Sort of like dealing with one's obsession
overuse of colons (which can lead to problems in the digestive tract) by first regressing to the use of semi-colons.

in your head.... Now don't forget the “oft-accompanying obligatory long-winded exhale (which can only be interpreted

as persuasive, charismatic or as a leader.

person not only understands how powerful words can be and uses them effectively, they also enhance the power of words through
hypnotic statements designed to lead people to where they want them to be.

You see, before you can use any kind
of hypnotic language you have to first understand how to converse with people.
Pay Close Attention: This Is Important
Hypnotic language is only as effective as the context that you use it in.

Simply put,
hypnotic language WILL NOT work if you don’t first create the ideal context through effective conversation.
Here’s an example.
Let’s say you are trying to sell me a car.
But every time you talk about a feature of the vehicle I disagree with you.
You tell me that the price of the car makes for a great
value because of the gas mileage.
But I disagree
and say it isn’t.
You’re natural
survival instinct is going to take over and you are going to going to want to prove your point by disagreeing with my disagreement.
Your objective is going to be to prove me wrong because:
A.) You need me to agree with you in order to make the
sale.
B.) You’re hardwired defend your
belief or point of view. All of us are.
The
problem is that this just going to make things worse.
It’s
going to create a vicious cycle of disagreement between the both of us.
There is actually a language pattern that can help you win in this kind of situation.
It’s called the Agreement Pattern.
How does it work? Well, think about it: people generally don’t like it when
people disagree with them. With the agreement pattern, you will agree with a point while at the same time adding your point
at the end.
The hypnotic language pattern itself
is quite simple:
“I agree with (A) and
would add (B)”
This pattern only has
three essential elements but it is an extremely powerful pattern that can be used in a variety of situations..
Here’s a quick example:
“I agree that this car is pricier than its counterparts and would like to add
that it has extremely useful features that are not offered by any of the existing competitors”
Now imagine if I tried using this pattern before I even asked introduced
myself, gathered some intelligence about you, determined your needs and built some rapport.
The pattern probably wouldn’t work because at this point you may not trust
that I know what I’m talking about.
That’s
why it’s crucial to understand how to engage people the right way during conversation.
You do that with these building blocks:
Building Block #1 – Smile: When you smile, you project a sense of friendliness
and warmth and people will become naturally attracted to and open to you.
Building Block #2 –
Inviting Eye Contact: Next on the list is invitational eye contact which basically means having a set of “friendly eyes”.The
key to the right kind of eye contact is to maintain a friendly eye contact, hold it for a few seconds and then look away casually
and then come back again.You don’t want to look away when you’re saying saying something important though , as
this will subconsciously send a signal to your subject which says you’re dishonest. Not a good thing.
Building Block #3 – Warm Mannerisms: Always make sure you’re exuding a friendly energy. This is something
that’s a little hard to put into words but I’m sure you’ve experienced it before when you’re around
people you trust and admire.
Building Block #4 – Remain Reserved: Don’t try too hard
or overdue anything as this will project and image of desperation which repels rather than attracts. But then there is a deeper
level of tactics that follow.
Now here's
where things get interesting...
In order for
this to work you must combine the building blocks with something called covert concepts.
I call them the “covert concepts” because they are very much alive and
governing the direction of the conversation but most people have no clue that they are present.

Covert
Concept # 1 Value: Most people will ignore you or mentally tune you out if they feel you bring no value to the table.
Covert Concept # 2 – Status: Just like in the animal kingdom, there is hierarchy that takes place
in our world. Even though we’re not animals, we understand and respond to this pecking order. It’s embedded in

Emotional Awareness: The emotional exchange that takes place between people during a conversation is perhaps the most important

state at all times to keep them in the conversation to begin with.

SWAPPING HEAD - THE RAIKOV EFFECT
With

a bit about "The Raikov Effect"
The
Raikov Effect is all about how you can tap into the power of your mind, using
simple brain hacks that give you access
to your creative potential.
Raikov was a Russian neuropsychologist. He hypnotized people
into thinking and
acting like geniuses. He convinced one that she had the artistic ability of Raphael. He
convinced
another that he could play the piano like Rachmaninoff.
By putting them into a deep trance,
he helped the subjects “steal” the skills and talents
of people who were geniuses, experts in their field.
His method became known as The
Raikov Effect.
The main Raikov course explains how the
technique worked, in addition to several
other methods that go alongside it, including the placebo effect and the ‘as
if’
technique. This sheet recaps the basics.
The
Placebo Effect
The Placebo Effect happens when a person thinks they're getting powerful medicine.
A placebo is a dud, a substance that has no active medicinal ingredient. It can take the
form of a pill, a liquid, a cream, or an injection. Or it could be a prayer, a spell, or
some other non-physical device.
The person receiving the placebo believes it's real,
and that belief is often enough to make the substance work.
So even though it's "fake
medicine" it can result in a positive outcome.
Some
ways of activating the placebo effect are:
Fill an empty energy bottle with fizzy diet soda so you’ll think you’re
getting a kick from the real thing.
Label a bottle of mints as ‘Stress Reduction
Pills’ (and take when needed)
so you’ll believe you’re receiving treatment.
Eat from smaller plates so you think you're eating more.
The
As If Technique
The As If Technique is a way to act 'as if' you already have a quality you desire.
So
just by acting 'as if' you're confident, you can become more confident. By acting 'as if'
you're
successful, you can become more successful. By acting 'as if' you're determined,
you can become more determined.
When you act 'as if' you already feel a certain way, your brain gets the message that
you 'are' confident. It responds by sending out confidence-boosting chemicals like
serotonin, and you actually
start to feel more confident.
Here’s how to activate the ‘as if’ technique:
a) To feel happier, smile and open your arms. (For at least 2 mins.)
b) To feel more determined, clench your hands
into fists. (For at least 2 mins.)
c) To feel more confident, stand up straight with your hands on your hips. (For at
least 2 mins.)
d) To feel more important and successful, wear some really smart clothes.
The
New Raikov Effect
The New Raikov Effect is based on Raikov's original method but updated for the
modern world.
It combines several genius modeling methods, as well as techniques
such as ‘as if’. It's designed to
help you "steal" the skill or talent of someone who's an
expert at what they do. You can practice this
technique in your head, or use one of the
listen along audios. Kevin only opens access to
